Making Connections Through Stories

As we end our unit on “How We Build Relationships by Learning About Other People’s Feelings, Thoughts, and Communicating Our Own,” Grade 2 students showed their understanding through creative stories.

Their stories explored different kinds of relationships and how good communication helps people solve problems, show kindness, and build happiness.

By learning to understand others, students discovered that strong relationships make our classroom and community a caring and joyful place.

Each story has a unique and subtle way of showing different kinds of relationships, people’s conflicts, and thoughtful solutions.
Through their writing, students explored how understanding others and using good communication can help resolve issues, build respect, and create a happier, more caring community.
Our Grade 2 creative stories are wonderful for preschoolers to read because they are still learning how to build relationships and understand feelings.

The stories, written like picture books, show simple but powerful lessons about friendship, kindness, and communication.

Preschoolers will enjoy the colorful characters and situations while being inspired to express their own ideas and become thoughtful, creative writers one day.

Children build social relationships by sharing stories they can relate to and connect with. Our Grade 2 students did an amazing job reading to the younger children, taking the time to answer questions and explain the meaning behind each story.

"The books will be on display in the school hallways for everyone to enjoy! Come and immerse yourself in the creative, fun, and wonderful stories written by our talented Grade 2 students—you won’t want to miss them!"
